Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists hosts Sunday service

ST. LOUIS, June 9 - Benny Jackson, staff evangelist for Kirby Woods Baptist Church, Memphis, Tenn., speaks during a Sunday morning worship service sponsored by the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists. The service was open to not only messengers to the SBC, but also to people living in the area, as well as those working that morning in St. Louis' America's Center, site of the service.

ST. LOUIS, June 10 - Newly elected officers of the Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists are front row, from left to right, Benny Jackson, vice president, of Germantown, Tenn.; Jim McNiel, president, of St. Louis; back row, from left to right, Marion Warren, music director, Oklahoma; Steve Walker, assistant music director, of Pinola, Miss.; Phil Glisson, parlimentarian, of Memphis, Tenn.; and Todd Brady, pastor advisor, of Fayetteville, N.C. Officers were elected as COSBE met June 9-10 at St. Louis' Cervantes Convention Center prior to the 145th session of the SBC.
