This has been a banner year for the BJEA! The Ministry has taken us into forty different churches in nine states and the countries of El Salvador and South Africa. Hundreds have come to faith in Christ through the Crusades, International Mission Trips, Conferences, Cassette Tape Ministry and through personal witness.It was a great honor to have served as President of the National Conference of Southern Baptist Evangelists and Director of the Evangelism Council of Shelby Baptist Association.
What a joy, too, to have been honored with a beautiful banquet and recognition service by our home church, Kirby Woods Baptist Church, Memphis, Tennessee, for thirty years in full-time Evangelism. This was a kick-off for our Spring Revival where I was invited to preach and to have the thrill of seeing over sixty precious souls saved!
Shirley was also honored this year at the annual Shelby Baptist Association and given a recognition gift for having served thirty-two years on the Association ASSIST team as Preschool Consultant.
What an honor and privilege to be a servant of our Lord Jesus Christ!
